i seem to recover from aches and sicknesses and whatnot about as well as i ever did
and i got back to an acceptable running pace faster than i expected when i started running seriously again a few months ago
also i don't know what someone my age is supposed to feel like

Lower back aches are becoming increasingly common for the I.
Also, the number of days where I would wake up feeling tired and, on some cases, unusually demotivated (even if I had a good night’s sleep) is increasing.

Re: Are you feeling your age physically
Intense exercise or even jogging for an extended period is out at this point, at least until I cut out drinking for a while, which probably isn't a good sign. I can however do just fine with 8+ hours per day of a moderately physically demanding job, so there's that. I don't know how I should feel at 32, but overall I can't really complain.
Although I'm guessing that if I took a couple weeks off and really took it easy I would come out the other side realizing that I had a lot of nagging injuries that I had gotten used to or managed to ignore. This happened a few years ago and I was pretty surprised how much discomfort I was actually in (stiff shoulder, sore hands, sore feet, etc.)

Re: Are you feeling your age physically
aches and shit yeah, but they're not as bad when I'm regularly active. I sometimes take a super mild analgesic to work out hard.
Losing any sleep at all will almost certainly guarantee a shitty day or week for me, so I make it a point to get as much as I can, I don't fight sleepiness anymore, shit can wait. Was never really the case in my 20's.
And yeah hangovers suck a lot more, and a single drink after a hard day will put me right to sleep.

Re: Are you feeling your age physically
Lava is correct. Routine exercise does help with minor aches and pains. Especially lower back. I have an ankle spur which walking makes it worse. Still have yet to find a good pair of arch support shoes that help with it. Stretching does help but only during the time I'm stretching. Surgery would eliminate it altogether but where can I find a rich ho to pay for it?
