It's been running pretty slow for me lately. Tried Google chrome, thought it was good, but no noscript and no drop down menu for different search options = meh.

The 3.5 version works fine on my I-Mac. I have 4 gb of RAM--maybe that helps.

I've got virus/spyware scanners going all the time, but there's a possibility they're not catching stuff. I don't like paying for programs.

3.5.1 runs fine for me. I have no pop ups and no crashing and/or hanging issues.



It is true though that it should not be using as much memory as it does. I think this is due to the aging platform it is built on.



I think for the 4.x line they should seriously consider a ground-up re-code of both the Gecko engine (that it may successfully compete with newer engines like WebKit), XUL, and the browser using it all.
