What does this mean for the tiny person who runs your life?

it means he gets to grow up knowing almost all of his extended family and all our athens friends who are functionally family members, which is what we wanted the whole time. plus the job itself is everything she was hoping for and pays better than we thought it might. so this is really news all around

as for adoption we are three weeks away from california's six-month requirement. after that it's just a matter of the county judge putting us on his schedule and signing the papers, probably sometime in late spring

Well that is wonderful news. I could have sworn you said it had to be a year for any adoption stuffs to be all official like.

i think i did say this at the very beginning. we were with a different agency and i will save you the trouble of a very long and dumb story by telling you that that other agency was all different kinds of wonky and misled us on a bunch of shit. once we switched to our current agency things got smooth like jiffy

as far as being actually matched with a kid, that can take weeks or months depending on how picky you are. the only thing that's set in stone is california law requiring that the kid actually live in your house for six months before you can adopt

also it's now looking like we are probably going to try to move in june. so the mabb meetup might be dusty-free in 2017

I've only ever moved in the summer, so it aint no thang

experience or no though, summer movery is a big sweaty dickhole

i cant help but always think how much youd enjoy fargo, john. especially since you are so fond of athens.

all i've seen and read of athens, it seems similarity equivalent to fargo in lots of ways. maybe im naive since i havent traveled like you :shrug:

you'd enjoy a visit i reckon at the very least, not like it'd ever happen, but still.
