maybe we'll foster or adopt later, but she's reaching the age limit when pregnancies start getting problematic.

kids are super fun, they laugh at everything and are endlessly entertaining and effortlessly entertained

also you get to teach them things and then have them do those things with you

and on a personal level they put the rest of your life into perspective, there is no more faffing about or feeling purposeless

it's a big decision but i have always wanted kids. my last relationship ended after seven years basically because of this issue

if you can find agreement on yae or nae between tae, it's a damn good thing. i didn't waste seven years but it was a real shame to realise how different our life goals were continuing to be and have to end it

I forgot to add I would disagree with zim's broadbrush use of "most". I'd just say giving up on finding a purpose in life and churning out babies is a very common life path for many.

Also, I've been pretty set on not having children for a long time now. My ladyfriend is also equally averse to them. Life is pretty fuckin great.

I commend people that make that life choice with head on shoulders especially through adoption, it just isn't for me.
