that your motherboard is no longer functioning, do basic troubleshooting such as re-seating the ram and the gpu. make sure all cables are plugged in all the way
if the problem persists, you can try removing peripheral devices, use a new power cable, or even reset the cmos
if the problem still persists and you think you might finally fucking shoot yourself, seek help from friends who have spare hard drives so that they might help you diagnose your problem

do you mean the thermal paste on the CPU? that can happen, sometimes you'll start experiencing blue screen of death or random shut downs if your PC starts overheating

I know the temp will heat up especially when the graphic card was in heavy use but it as never an issue. Than one day it would turn on and in the process of loading Windows I would get a random series of system beeps (never the same amount) and later determined that it was a temperature alarm. The computer would then auto shut down. No blue screen or anything.
Si tu PC comienza a fallar, diagnostica primero si es software o hardware. Usualmente el registro de incidencias de Windows te dice qué cosa falló y a qué nivel... Luego de eso, si tienes pantalla azul también hace referencia a lo que específicamente la causó, en fín.
Claro que siempre puedes tomar el estúpido camino de no analizar la falla y darte la "vuelta larga" antes de llegar finalmente a la razón concreta de la misma.
