I am a produce manager there - so yes. I've been there since 2013.

So far it seems positive since it's not like we got bought out by another grocer or a venture (vulture) capitalist firm. So rather than gut us and cast aside our carcass once anything of value has been sold off (what usually happens) many are thinking we can use the technological and logistic side of Amazon to improve and streamline our distribution and decrease overall costs (including prices). Not to mention experiment and improve home delivery services (something we already do with Instacart).

Either way, I'll be getting a sizable cash-out from the WFM stock I own since WFM will now be privately held by Amazon. While the cash will be nice - I almost wish they would gift us some Amazon stock instead (currently going for $987 a share!).
