it is normally $330, was marked down to $230 and then to $165, and they gave me a further 10% off because the only one they had left was the floor model

i am right pleased with this purchase

well i work from home, and spend many hours a day sitting at my desk

and the chair i had in california was compressed to shit within about a year, because i didn't realize that there are levels of recommended use for desk chairs

the chair above is recommended for people who sit at least six hours at a stretch

so i suppose i could have decided to spend $65 on a shit chair once a year indefinitely

but the wiser course of action seemed to be to find a good deal on a nice big padded comfy chair, and, upon finding it, purchase that chair

and so i did that

this reminds me of the time when i bought a nice camera from my sister at a huge discount, and you said "oh waste of money, you'll never use it, what a stupid thing to do"

without realizing that i already owned a camera and took photos as a hobby

I scored a floor model on clearance and it lasted me like 7+ years. It was still in pretty good shape until a wheel got all fucked up and I had to get rid of it .

Actually I am the kind of hard-on bearer who buys a $65 dollar pair of shoes and uses them for 6 years before, well, not buying a replacement pair of shoes. My black shoes I bought in 2011, still use them.

I have shirts in my closet from 2004.

For some reason I passed up the opportunity to get something like this for free from my dad when he switched to something different. It was probably a combination of it most likely not fitting in my car and an unrealistic concern that I would begin spending way too much time parked in front of the computer screen if I was in total comfort.

The one I currently use came free in 2011 when my neighbor moved out of his apartment and left a bunch of shit behind. The only other place I've seen anything like it is in vague memories of that game The Sims.
