it didn't before, but my boss transferred to another position and the new hard-on bearer is definitely scheming to break up my team and replace people

pretty sure my job is safe but it's not a terribly fun place to work anymore

i love my job and even look forward to going to work most days but there is a lot of stress sometimes.

lately the workload has been almost unbearable since we are short a couple people. i jump between 3-5 different projects a day and it really leaves my brain fried by the end of the day.

we have a $40,000-50,000 project nearing completion and it is being reviewed on monday, they want near 100 miscellaneous changes the day before :oldryan:

i work on/with websites, servers, web application stuff, consulting. i also have to fix lots of random things that break or stop working for no apparent reason. a lot of the work involves tasks like "here's a black box, figure out why it's broken, no i can't help you with anything because i don't know anything about it, thanks"

In the once or twice per month scenario when shit hits the fan at my job sorting it out almost always requires very quick thinking and action, so in the moment I generally don't have time to even think about being outraged. That takes place on the drive home, and usually only consists of me muttering something like "what a shitty fucking day." However due to usually having to push myself physically in those incidents I usually come out the other end with a kind of runner's high, which can be nice.

When that isn't the case the scene is usually so bad that it's actually pretty funny, and everyone kind of relaxes and jokes around while picking up the pieces (obviously provided no one got hurt).
