Possible. Won't really know until Friday. It will likely hit Miami but if turns northward and goes up the coast - well that would suck for o-town. The northeast quadrant of the storm is the worst place to be because the bands would be coming in right off the ocean.

everyone went into panic mode yesterday. stores were wiped out of non perishables and water. luckily I got my shit on Monday. picked up 2 more cases of water this morning just in case though - they were handing it out of the backroom of the store directly off the pallet with a limit of 2 per customer. surprisingly people were acting civilized. I can only imagine the carnage come Friday though if the threat seems imminent.

185mph (297.729 kmph) sustained winds for 24 hours (220mph gusts), a new Atlantic record! Irma is the strongest recorded storm in the Atlantic. Hurricane Katia has formed in the Gulf (I thought that low might do something when I noticed it looking over Irma models the other day) and Hurricane Jose is strengthening behind Irma. Golly. This is an active season.

Shit just got real - I was supposed to see Dark Tranquillity tonight but they cancelled their 0Rlando and Tampa dates.
