i had something like this one time. this older gentleman was pulling out of the grocery store parking lot as i was pulling in. he started playing good times bad times really loudly, our eyes met and we sang it together briefly, and pointed in glorious recognition

then i bought a loaf of bread

moments like these breed positivity

it was really goofy and also made me very happy i think back to this moment occasionally

i bet he does too

there's a local hard-on bearer who is know by the name 'Big World' and he rides a bicycle with a cart attached to it which has signs for several local businesses. he will setup his bicycle and signs on popular corners of town and sit there for hours smiling and waving at every single person who passes by.

recently big world was admitted to the hospital and had a severe infection in both of his legs, i think it was mrsa. he can no longer ride his bicycle but a gracious collaboration of people got together and bought him a motorized wheelchair and he is once again able to advertise local businesses and share a smile and wave at passersby.

(he used to ride a fucking lawnmower around town but the city put a stop to that shit)
