Commercial free is a few bucks more a month but the bigger channels like abc and nbc will still have 1 at the beginning and end

Re: mtv classic
We had what was officially called MTV Asia in the gloryhole era and the main VJs were a really hot Indonesian chick and some half-American/half Middle-Eastern duder. They primarily speak English live although the Indonesian chick would sometimes speak in her native tongue. But it was MTV.
Aeon Flux was around like 4 in the afternoon during weekdays to be followed by Oddities. Beavis & Butthead would be around 10 in the evening on weekdays (which was later moved to 12 midnight) to be followed by Alternative Nation.
We had a show on Saturday evenings called MTV Rocks where they would play videos from bands like Pantera, White Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Tool, etc.
Sundays were usually 'specials' where they would sometimes play live performances or music documentaries. I know I've seen Live Shit Binge and Purge Seattle there quite a number of times as well as an old Van Halen live video.
