i read this a little while ago now, it was quite an unexpected treat

how come the youtube links don't work on these old threads?

it does that every time we have a php update

i have no idea why

php is the culprit

it's weird because it's not like they were encased in code or something. it's literally just the URL - same as we use now.

with some updates we have had to use the video code to embed from youtube

and then with others we have not had to do that, we can just paste the url into the post

so then when we update from the latter others to the former others, the naked url is just sitting there, waiting for code that will never appear, lost like a memory in an addled brain

and when we update from the former others to the latter others, all of the coded urls get wonky, while the old, formerly wonky urls begin working once again. like a soul reborn into an infant's skull

i know the board has switched between those two modes at least three times since luke took over operations

however we have not yet tried to get christopher nolan to direct
