She had over 9 years with us. I don't have kids but every time I lose a dog it just rips my heart out and feels like I lost a child. my mother doesn't have any dogs left

She's a pitbull and they commonly get hip dysphasia plus she was overweight from all the human food my mom and step dad always fed her. For about the last month, she's been barely moving, shaking, not eating, not playing fetch or going outside to go bathroom. So we made the decision yesterday to have her put down. Being in the room made it worse. She's the one that killed the poodle back in November after she had her spleen removed because it ruptured.
