I got a new job too
Now I have some left over PTO that I'm using up. Too bad though I won't be able to use all my left over PTO because of the two week notice thing. But it's pretty cool to take 3 weekdays off straight! I'm going to resign on Monday.

How will you say it to them that you want to leave?

uhh...I'll tell them I'm leaving. Why do you ask, is this supposed to be complicated?

Now that I'll be making more money, I want to buy a top of the line gaming PC.

That is exactly the website I was looking at for two hours this afternoon. Was reading their excellent build article. Reading the comments I am more confused than I was going in.

Is it worth waiting a while for prices on GPUs to drop?

Re: I got a new job too
it's a pretty good build, i'd maybe get a better cpu. the amd ryzen chips are pretty good these days. The Ultimate wrote:This build looks sensiblezim wrote:https://pcpartpicker.com/The Ultimate wrote:Now that I'll be making more money, I want to buy a top of the line gaming PC.

and for gpus, might be worth waiting, depends on how long you're willing to wait. i think nvidia is going to release the next gen soon'ish'maybe, when those hit the market current gen will go cheaper.

I may go for a combo of a Ryzen 5 and 1070ti after all. I think I'll wait like you say. I hear that nvidia will come out with a gpu in August. Hopefully that will make the prices drop. I'll come back to you for advice on certain things when the time is right.
