Re: What kind of blue tooth do you jam
Origin
The development of the "short-link" radio technology, later named Bluetooth, was initiated in 1989 by Nils Rydbeck, CTO at Ericsson Mobile in Lund, Sweden and by Johan Ullman. The purpose was to develop wireless headsets, according to two inventions by Johan Ullman, SE 8902098-6, issued 1989-06-12 and SE 9202239, issued 1992-07-24. Nils Rydbeck tasked Tord Wingren with specifying and Jaap Haartsen and Sven Mattisson with developing. Both were working for Ericsson in Lund.[8] The specification is based on frequency-hopping spread spectrum technology.
Name and logo
Name
The name "Bluetooth" is an Anglicised version of the Scandinavian Blåtand/Blåtann (Old Norse blátǫnn), the epithet of the tenth-century king Harald Bluetooth who united dissonant Danish tribes into a single kingdom. The implication is that Bluetooth unites communication protocols.[9]
The idea of this name was proposed in 1997 by Jim Kardach of Intel who developed a system that would allow mobile phones to communicate with computers.[10] At the time of this proposal he was reading Frans G. Bengtsson's historical novel The Long Ships about Vikings and King Harald Bluetooth.[11][12]
Logo
The Bluetooth logo is a bind rune merging the Younger Futhark runes Runic letter ior.svg (Hagall) (ᚼ) and Runic letter berkanan.svg (Bjarkan) (ᛒ), Harald's initials.[13][14]

Re: What kind of blue tooth do you jam
I have this set up in my car because even though it's got a USB port there is no bluetooth and I wanted to be able to put on pandora via my phone while I drive.
Bluetooth Adapter Receiver,URANT Car Kit Mini USB Wireless Audio Adapter Bluetooth Music Receiver & Adapter Home/Car Phone iPhone Stereo Speakers Headphones Car (AUX In)
this reduces feedback/background buzzing since it connects into the stero system via a headphone jack:
Mpow Ground Loop Noise Isolator for Car Audio / Home Stereo System with 3.5mm Audio Cable (Black)
usb car charer to power the usb bluetooth since the one my car has apparently isn't powerful enough.
Car Charger, Maxboost 4.8A/24W 2 USB Smart Port Charger
now you may ask yourself - "damn it lummo - why don't you just plug your phone directly into the usb port in your car?!" well, I tried that - never works for some reason - will usually get a message that says device not recognized. it's strange because I can load up a usb drive with gigabytes worth of music and it will play just fine. but try to plug a phone in? nope.

LG Tones Pro HBS 780
For under $100 these are pretty solid. Not much bass to them but I don't use them for music jams.
Also I have a garbage $20 BT speaker for watching things on the lappytop.
What I really want for home jams is this bad boy:
Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 3
$479.99 new/$149 refurbished
Comes with a remote

USB 2.0 in your car vs 3.0 on your phone maybe? Or vice versa?Rufus T. Software update needed for one or both?
USB storage mode turned off on your device?
Other than those, I don't fucking know
