my mother is gone
I’m so lost and broken. She was my best f.riend and always there for me. I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do. I miss her so much already.

Re: my mother is gone
So sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine what your'e going through. I was pretty distant with my parents growing up, but making an effort to get closer to them about ten years ago was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I would obviously have been devastated losing either even if that had never happened, but cultivating a friendship with them makes losing them that much more unthinkable. Hope you're holding up OK.

Re: my mother is gone
Some tips to help cope. There are no time restraints on mourning. Take your time when your ready to move on then do it. If not, dont. Stay active and don't dwell on anything that may cause emotions to interfere with every day life. If that does happen, be okay with it. Most importantly, find what works best for you and go from there. I know it's not much help for advice on these type of life encounters but remember in the end everything will be okay.

really sorry to hear man, hope you're holding up alright. it's a small consolation in the face of a loss of this magnitude, but i'm sure the fact that you were able to maintain that close a relationship went a long way to ease her suffering.

Re: my mother is gone
She was coughing up blood so we went to the ER. Waited 3 hours to be seen. CT scan showed she had pneumonia and a small hole in her trechea. She was admitted to the hospital. After check in she took a drink of water and started aspirating and throwing up blood. It keep coming out and wouldn’t stop. There were like 20 people in the room trying to clear her airways and revive her for 24 minutes. So I watched my mother suffocate on her own blood and die a horrible death.
I don’t know how much longer I’ll be around. If you guys don’t see for a while, you know why. I can’t take this. It hurts so much.

They made the patient wait for 3 hours in the ER before being seen? That’s fucked up. Is that normal or could we be looking at a case of malpractice here?jorsh wrote:She was coughing up blood so we went to the ER. Waited 3 hours to be seen. Unfortunately a long wait time to be seen is almost the norm when it comes to an ER.

Condolences on the passing of your mother, Jo.sh. You and your family have suffered much and this is such a traumatic experience.
I don't want to just wish things get better for you, because those are just words, whereas you need real support. And if you feel you need that support from us, don't hesitate to let us know.
Secondly, does anyone have Jo.sh's phone number? I'm concerned about his last words up there. They come across as suicidal and we should treat that seriously.

Re: my mother is gone
That's kinda what's been on my mind for this situation. That stuff happens way too much here in the states. I know that if someone has heart complications the patient is seen automatically. Seems they could have made this a priority as well.shadowalk wrote:They made the patient wait for 3 hours in the ER before being seen? That’s fucked up. Re: my mother is gone
It hurts even more to talk about what could have been done differently by the hospital staff. I understand it but maybe we should leave that discussion for another day.
Let’s just be here for him if he needs us. I think it’s also a good question to see if anyone here has jorsh’s phone number.
