I printed shirts for ~5 years. There's a LOT of stuff you're going to need. Screens, inks, emulsion, flash dryer (heat guns can work too), vellum paper to print the initial design on, a printer that is set up for printing on vellum paper, wash out station, pressure washer, etc.

The process is long and smelly (especially when you have to clean the screens) and I honestly wouldn't recommend doing it by yourself if you're just going to make one-off shirts.

Yes there are "ghetto" ways of doing it, but it sucks. Trust me.

there's lots of websites for ordering custom shirts where you can upload your own designs :idea:

i did some one-color screenprinting in high school. when we were done, we had to wash the screens which requires a pressure washer; the teacher stressed it was extremely important not to point it at the classroom windows, which was of course the very first thing we did :redneck::::::

as skinno explained it is a surprisingly involved process that unfortunately does not lend itself to hobbyists :homework:
