Your working hours at the workplace

Post by shadowalk »

Mein working hours are 2 PM to 11 PM (GMT+8 so that's 2 AM to 11 AM EST for those of you in the American east coast).

Personally, I couldn't ask for a better shift as I'm a natural night owl.

I sleep at 5 AM and wake up at around 12 PM. :grim:

9 am to 5:30 pm or 9:30 am to 6 pm.

2 times 15 minute break and one 30 minute lunch break.
I work from home. So no wasting life in traffic.

I work from home during Fridays but there are times I'd work from home if I have a big project and I really can't afford to be around a lot of people because of the distraction.

Although since Friday is usually a lenient day, I would usually just leave outlook open in my work laptop and I'd just smoke herb and/or drink all day.

it's all over the place. for example today I am working an unusual shift of 5pm - 1am. but some days I might work 5am-1pm or 9am-5pm or 2pm-11pm. just depends. only good thing is there is mandatory 10 hours off between shifts so i'm never working a late shift and then having to come back at like 6am or something.

Working mids is a chore. Everything is open while you're asleep. Say good bye to a social life. I did it for 8 years in my 20's. I will admit it has its benefits. Less traffic and humans to deal with so that's a major plus.

I'm on campus from about 7:00-3:30, then figure another hour or so for prepping/lesson planning each evening. Add in another 20-30 hours a week when I have essays to grade.

I recover! My wife and I try to take one large trip and a few small ones, I play more guitar, read books for pleasure, go to summer classical concerts, etc. Then the last week I get back in teaching mode and start preparing for the new year.

Aside from me getting off at 10:30 PM in the absence of overtime we have the same work/sleep schedule

Although once the weather gets a bit nicer I am hoping to start getting up at around 10 AM and going to the park to read for a while most days of the week, or maybe shooting baskets or something.
