Filipino sex change
I'm coming across a lot Filipinos who have male names but female dispositions. Is this a rising trend in the country? Male names but female appearance, voices and such.

Definitely not here since we are all proudly homophobic in the savagelands.
Sounds like an isolated case of Filipino immigrants adapting to the local culture in their immediate vicinity.

Re: Filipino sex change
I wouldn't rule it out but then again I've only been to Cebu once (and that was 19 years ago) so I'm not at all familiar with the place. You have to take a 30-45 minute domestic flight to get to Cebu from Manila since it's on another island.

From.what I've read about transgender in the US, .06% of the nation identify. Which has gone way up since the 70's that initially popularized the gays.

Re: Filipino sex change
What I mean by "popularize" is basically, gay people use a form of gaslighting to trick heterosexuals into believing that their own traditional ways of love or sex isn't a true reality.

There is a transgender person in the workplace who really looks like a womang except that when she speaks, she sounds like Sylvester Stallone while down on the flu.

Re: Filipino sex change
Last year, our department had an offsite party at one of the local clubs here. One of the executive directors, an old duder in the 50s/60s range with balding hair and a regular at stripclubs, did some dirty dancing with said transgender person. He was really drunk off his ass that time so we all thought he's not aware that the supposed 'womang' he's dancing with is not quite the womang he expected.

Re: Filipino sex change
That's messed up. It seems that this hard-on bearer womang would have been more transparent in his role as a womang. At least give the courtesy to say hey, I had a sex change. You okay with dancing with me?shadowalk wrote:Last year, our department had an offsite party at one of the local clubs here. Re: Filipino sex change
Dont get me wrong I have numerous friends that identify as female. I'm okay with that. They seem to be okay with saying that they are female if they aren't planning on sleeping with another male. If they do go out and pick up a man they should consider how the other person feels about that. It's just courteous.
All I'm saying is don't take the other person's freedom of choice away.

Re: Filipino sex change
The folks in power would sooner grant superficial identity rights and privileges to an insignificant minority (people desiring a sex change), than do something meaningful and material, like grant a livable wage to millions, or enforce racial equality for masses of people. Those latter things really cut into profits and hurt established structures, whereas by contrast, the overblown emphasis on transexual rights is relatively harmless for the elite.
Unfortunately today, people of a progressive bent are utterly distracted in favor of transexual rights and expend their mental and physical energies in that direction in support of frivolous things like changes to language (is it gender neutral enough...) or arguing over access to toilets. The irony does not escape me that the Western Left which in the last decade railed against the 1% and in favor of the 99%, today spends so much time on issues that impact the less than 1%. Priorities are messed up. Their energies should be better spent addressing long outstanding material mass issues.
