Your dream job
What is your dream job?
Are you already doing it or working towards it?
Or maybe you don’t have such a thing and don’t really care about a certain career.
Curious about youz daily jobbins.

Re: Your dream job
I’d dig working the front desk/social media accounts at a tattoo shop.
Not my dream job simply because it’s somethihg I could attain easily but I’d still enjoy actually going to work for once in my life

Re: Your dream job
There was a shop looking for this exact thing about a month ago but I haven’t updated my resume since college, about 16 years ago. At this point I need to make one from scratch.

Do it!
Not that much work if you compare it to what it will give you.

I still want to be a game designer/developer. I can nail down the design aspect, no problem but I don't have a background in programming. A short course in learning the basics of C# may do wonders for me but sard.

Re: Your dream job
nah i quit. tried switching back to days from working overnights and they said they didnt have any full time openings for days which is 100% bullshit. they just didnt want to lose another overnight supervisor. so i said fuck it, put in a 2 weeks notice at the beginning of feb. the sister and her husband finally came up from kansas and we got our mothers house here cleaned out (only took 6 weeks ). its been up for sale for about 10 days now. been enjoying not working, drinking beer, and doing fuck all, its amazing. now that the house is finished i gotta start job hunting again soon though. i have enough where i dont have to technically go back to work for a few years now, and once the house sells, like 5-6 years, but i dont want to get too out of the game, if you know what i mean. any potential employer is already going to question my not working for the last 4 months.

Re: Your dream job
honestly at this point in my life i don't know what i'd say my dream job is
if i could be self-employed with something that wasn't super stressful that'd be awesome. something like a custom guitar builder / luthier maybe. would only want to work by myself or a very limited number of people. no customer support or general public interaction
but also this

seriously jorsh, this is a fork in the road moment and you need to take advantage of itNick wrote:Well quit fucking around social media run some tattoo actionjorsh wrote:nah i quit. tried switching back to days from working overnights and they said they didnt have any full time openings for days which is 100% bullshit. they just didnt want to lose another overnight supervisor. so i said fuck it, put in a 2 weeks notice at the beginning of feb. the sister and her husband finally came up from kansas and we got our mothers house here cleaned out (only took 6 weeks ). its been up for sale for about 10 days now. been enjoying not working, drinking beer, and doing fuck all, its amazing. now that the house is finished i gotta start job hunting again soon though. i have enough where i dont have to technically go back to work for a few years now, and once the house sells, like 5-6 years, but i dont want to get too out of the game, if you know what i mean. any potential employer is already going to question my not working for the last 4 months.
also i would hope most potential employers would accept a response of "well my mother died horribly and i had to get all her affairs in order"

Re: Your dream job
For me, I’m working full time from home now for Harman Audio (JBL, AKG and Harman/Kardon lifestyle products) as a L1 Tech agent, growing into it more and possibly becoming a quality monitor.
The team is a great bunch of people, friendly and really looking out for each other, trying to boost people’s potential. I’ve never experienced such a good vibe anywhere else before.
What I would love to do is have my own one-room recording/mixing/rehearsal studio where others can also work, preferably somewhere next to or in the woods.

Re: Your dream job
I don't have a dream job. I do however, regularly covet the status and position afforded to those of greater rank and financial success than myself.
