Hopefully I won't have to serve at all. I'd rather be working.

I don't know if this unique to where I work or live, but we still get paid for an eight hour day while on jury duty. Some coworkers of mine commute in from pretty rural counties so they actually have a decent change of getting picked every now and then.

Even with that being the case I'd still probably rather just go to work.

yeah my job pays you at the regular rate for days missed on jury duty, but it's the only company i've ever worked for that actually does. everywhere else i've worked just pays the legal minimum of like $50 a day.

i've been dying to do it for pretty much the entirety of my adult life, but i've never once received a summons
