So like an idiot I crawled through and immediately got lost. Then for the first time in years I had a really bad attack of the scoville units attack while aimlessly walking on top of dead people while desperately trying to get home...

i was thinking about this the other day. people are losing their minds over wearing masks, how can we expect anyone to comply with a second shut down. i kind of don't think society will accept going back to what we've just been through. even if the numbers spike i don't see people giving any more of a shit than they did before. oh, 200,000 people have died now? don't give a fuck, i'm going to sit in starbucks fuck you.Nick wrote:People are gonna lose their fucking minds when things get shutdown again

what a difference a year makes. luke and i were wandering the streets of london hopping from pub to pub this time last year
now everyone's mostly housebound and travel is a distant hope
whats everyone make of all the cases exploding in the reopened states? i reckon it has to be a younger crowd carrying the numbers here, death rates seem a lot lower compared to the march/april/may hotspots

Read something about a lot of deaths now are younger people. I reckon if things keep going this way shit would have to be locked down again. I went up to the Pennsylvania lands last weekend and it was basically employees only wearing a mask and it was just business as usual. Which is not the case here, it's still masks required to walk in anywhere. Except for total pieces of shit who don't know how to wear one in the first place.Hitoshura wrote:what a difference a year makes. luke and i were wandering the streets of london hopping from pub to pub this time last year

I'm completely blown away by how USA has been handling this. Theoretically it could have been a way more minimal problem by now, like in some other countries. It appears bag of diarrhea inside another, bigger bag of diarrhea is absolutely selfish and fucked in the head at the best of times but do yas think there's any chance someone has been in his ear? Perhaps telling him the whole global economy will come crashing down unless he wills US citizens to get back to business as usual and keep that US dollar floating?
It's the only way I can rationalize how bizarre this hard-on bearer's actions are regarding this. The whole year has been like watching a bad dream unfolding in slow motion and I think more bad is on the way.

yes, the owners of the global economy have all been shrieking at the top of their lungs that the economy needs to reopen, damn the consequences. this isn't exactly some wormtongue type shit, they were going on fox news and CNBC and writing in the post and the times
he has always been focused on ever-increasing index numbers primarily because he sees his reelection fortunes tied directly to it. from day one, he has operated the machinery of the federal government to juice those numbers as much as possible, and that is the main concern the federal pandemic response has been organized around.

Re: coronavirus in this region
bad news in my home city in australia, highest cases since the beginning of the pandemic recorded yesterday - 122. state government locked down nine apartment buildings, approximately 3000ppl. minimum five days, up to fourteen. testing the entire buildings from floor to top. each apartment gets a $1500 hardship payment since they can't go to work and two weeks' free rent. borders to my state close tonight at midnight (i am up in canberra, about seven hours' drive in another state) so if i ever want to go down and visit, i can't come back up here to my apartment and the university. the whole country's eyes are now on my home town-- the ostensible reason for the new spike in cases is that security guards at the hotel quarantine facilities, which i did back in april 8-22, did not follow social distancing, got COVID-19 from returned australians from abroad like myself, then took it back to their families. the government has launched an inquiry into hotel quarantine in my state-- oh yeah, and what is the difference between the quarantine in my state compared to every other australian state ... ??? my state used FUCKING PRIVATE SUB-CONTRACTING SECURITY GUARD COMPANIES to secure the facilities instead of the vice squad or army like the other states. and supposedly they had "four minutes' training".
sigh

EVERYONE WINS

I still don’t understand this hang up people have with facemasks...
I’ve been wearing a facemask since mid March 8-9 hours a day. Sure, it sucks but you do get used to it. I’ve forgotten I’ve had it on to the point where I have gone to take a drink and spilled water all over myself.... so yeah, these people who whine like spoiled children about having to wear a mask for an hour while they shop can kindly go fuck themselves with a rusty covid-laced pitchfork up their ass and then promptly fall into pit full of human shit and drown.

My best fellating lover had it and then his wife too.
Both around 33, 34 years old. Were pretty sick from it but didn't need a hospital and recovered well.
My brother and his wife, same story.
This thing is very different from person to person.
I haven't been sick at all since this all started.

Re: coronavirus in this region
got a sore throat and a headache for the last two days. been keeping an eye on my temperature. when i woke up i took it and it was hitting around 99-100, went back to bed and took it again when i woke up, it was around 97.
feeling pretty much fine but i am a little paranoid, might see if i can go get a cheek swab or something. keeping everyone away in the meantime.
