I always wore nitrile gloves while at work but have now been wearing a face mask with a bandana over it as well. It’s not my coworkers I’m worried about so much as our dipshit customers. Still encounter people that act like this whole thing is no big deal - Quite literally had to tell a hard-on bearer to back the fuck up away from me the other day.

the morph move unfortunately did not entail a freak growth spurt nor an expansion of beard capacity however, so the project is wildly incomplete

but how do we know his beard fell out? It’d be covered by the mask. and a check shave. So you see.

Re: coronavirus in this region
Now my work is rolling out a program of asking people (no set number yet) to take a furlough of up to four months and collect unemployment during that time. They're going to keep benefits going and it won't affect seniority, which is huge in blue collar work.
Because I've been there long enough I could probably do this, but I won't unless they can't find enough volunteers. Besides, I think it's mostly drivers they're trying to keep from starving out. For now I'm just hoping to go down to about 30 hours per week to avoid having to take an unpaid half hour lunch.

My county made the announcement that masks were required if you go out in public the other day and Hogan has another press conference later today. Fully expecting that one to be the one that cancels school for the rest of the academic year, since they are currently only closed till april 24th.

Re: coronavirus in this region
i passed the halfway mark on my hotel quarantine. six more sleeps until i am released. bought a car and a new work set up so i can begin living between my mum's garage and my dad's spare bedroom when i am free from this room hellhole.
i won't be able to handle living with either of them full-time but a balance between the two should be OK for a few months or however long all this shit takes.
my dad has had a tough year, his mother died, then his wife walked out on him (she is 50% back but still not good), one of my brothers has cut all contact with him (and changed his surname), and then covid-19 happened. it is going to be hard work supporting him

I'm just hoping the bank will continue letting us defer payments if need be. The uncertainty of income is a splendid mate of mine, who knows when I'll have a regular paycheck again. In Maryland there's only a set amount you can claim per year and I've already claimed 2 months worthSkinfection wrote:Dang, man. Hang in there. That's a lot to deal with at once.
I'm going to move back into my mom's place for a while because neither myself or my wife are making enough to support ourselves here. It's not really ideal, but it could be a lot worse and it'll save us soooooo much money. Because who knows how long this stay at home order will remain in place?

even after what i've used so far this year, i have more than 2 months PTO with all the sick time they've added. it's just wonderful that life is coming up with creative ways to help me spend it
