Isn't that a fairly hilly area around there?
Yeah the roads are really narrow/windy also. I can only imagine the clusterfuck of cars it was.
I've heard plenty of horror stories about trying to get out of dodgers game. I can only imagine how fucked up this was.

stay safe and healthy and metal you two!

canberra has now gone 142 days without local transmission. literally everyone is slacking off the social distancing etc. these days. the only thing different really is the venue maximum capacities and a few signs around the city and university, otherwise you wouldn't know COVID was ravaging the world. very strange

myanmar on the other hand continues to get worse, now at 1500 deaths. australia has around 900 deaths but 800 of them were from the one city with its hotel quarantine scandal.
I'm honestly surprised so many people is Aus did the right thing without kicking up too much of a fuss. Made the small groups of protesting Qanon fuckwits look even worse. I'm kind of worried it will break out again though as more travel becomes unrestricted.

Well work announced today if anyone in a department tests positive they are closing that department for 15 days minimum. Gonna real interesting how a fucking dealership is gonna work when 1/4 of the building is missing.

Thanks, yes covid. She was in a carehome in the Rotterdam area. That's the worst place to be right now. Spoke to my mum, Aunt Tinie was alright just a couple of days ago :homework: Mum can't go to the funeral because she's not fit enough. And it's taking a risk too.

i am undecided on whether america's current president dying of this while in office would be the best possible thing (for this country, a semi-functional government, life in general)

or nothing at all

i am relatively sure it would not be in between those two things

If sitting in line for a touch over 5 hours is a good time, well sir we had a fucking blast!

2 of the wife's friends tested positive and my youngest was running a bit of a fever so off we went. Got in line at 710, a solid 80 minutes before they opened and we were probably like 150th in line. We got our tests done and pulled out of there at almost 1230.

So the quarantine begins as of today unless these tests pop up negative. The kids are real upset about possibly missing Thanksgiving :oldryan:

i don't know what the impact would be in the larger sense, but it would've been objectively hilarious if he'd wound up kicking it to covid

Can you do contact tracing or do you know where they got it?
2 of my wife's friends and one their kids tested positive, they were just with them a few days ago. Seems like the most likely place it could have come from.

So she had a low grade fever last night before bed. She basically threw up everything she had in her first thing this morning. Pretty much fell asleep the second I put the car in gear and slept for like 3 hours. Since that nap she has been her normal self, the kids are more upset about missing Thanksgiving over the wife's parents house.

my own COVID testing experience, for comparison, involved sitting in my car for 20 minutes to get the test, there were maybe ten cars in front of me. then i got the result back in 12 hours

so north dakota is officially the worst place in the entire world right now for COVID, they have stopped even following up close contacts on contact tracing, and if you attend a gathering of at least 10 people there is a 95% chance or higher than one of those 10 people will have COVID

:oldryan:

and did any of you see those flight maps over the last few days of thanksgiving travel? fuuuuuck

Shit is starting to get wild here my dudes. Cases are steadily climbing meanwhile all sorts of chaos is happening.

Maryland courts are scaling back to phase 2
Metro services are being scaled back because of budget issues
baltimore county public schools have been closed since last Tuesday because of a ransomware attack.

Meanwhile hogan is busy endorsing both gop senators in Georgia
