my wife is borrowing a nintendo switch from a colleague who needed it the fuck out of her house so she could finish writing a book. we have been playing animal crossing
all you do is gather fruit, go fishing, go swimming and diving in the ocean, and craft shit to either put around your house or give to your friends. this game is relaxing
i recommend animal crossing

you can get stung by wasps or bitten by spiders

i too was addicted in the spring/summer. kind of lost interest after i got all the landscaping tools and what not.
the villager trading / popularity thing was kind of entertaining. i didn't partake but i was happy to have a top 10 character for awhile
i tried stardew valley, couldn't really get into it. buddy of mine has like 300+ hours

In Stardew Valley, players take the role of a character who takes over his or her deceased grandfather's dilapidated farm in a place known as Stardew Valley. The game is open-ended, allowing players to take on several activities such as growing crops, raising livestock, crafting goods, mining for ores, selling produce, and socializing with the townsfolk, including marriage and having children. It also allows up to three other players to play together online.
I think it runs like $15 for the pc version.

I haven’t played it yet other than creating the character and picking the island. Seems kinda boring honestly.

it's a game about inviting anthropomorphic animals to your deserted island and planting fruit trees, were you expecting something a little more intense
