Just had my bank card hacked (again)
Fucking perfection. Tried charging 1 cent to my card and my bank flagged it and deactivated my card. Now I have to try go into a local branch in the morning to get a temp card. Assuming they are even open tomorrow with it being Christmas Eve day. Jesus fucking Christ

This is my debit/bank card not a credit card.

Re: Just had my bank card hacked (again)
well, at least you can go into a branch. happened to me back in september but with work restrictions i'm not allowed anywhere except my own office building. had to get our back office card services to order a replacement, and since we're not doing inhouse issuance right now i had to wait for our third party printer to make and mail it. took nearly a week even with overnight shipping

It’s US bank. I was able to order a new card and get a temp one in the drive thru this morning so that’s a plus.

Re: Just had my bank card hacked (again)
and now someone's maxed out my citibank card on uber, which their fraud detection didn't catch. glad to see all the trillions of dollars we've shoveled at that bank over the last 20 years have been going to good use.

Re: Just had my bank card hacked (again)
it's not a big deal honestly, i mostly just have that card as a backup/emergency funds source. and i'll get it all back of course, just massively annoyed that i have to waste time calling them up because they apparently do not have fraud detection of any sort enabled
