Re: Luke travel plans re-evaluation thread
does this mean the military will be seizing control of the tiny slice of the beer market they don't already own?

Re: Luke travel plans re-evaluation thread
We should be talking Luke out of plans for going back to Myanmar. There can be any one of dozens of reasons he can run into trouble there, including coming under suspicion of being some sort of Western agent. This situation may stabilize in a few months but still.
Find some other fucking safe part of the world to migrate to, or stay in Australia.

I want to hear more about Luke's activities in regards to Myanmar. Also, if the pandemic bankrupted you, which I've seen you say somewhere, how are you paying for keeping mabb up?

Re: Luke travel plans re-evaluation thread
i still have cash and assets of about $15,000 left, that will only go down though for a while yet, plus some of that is in myanmar so it's insecure. i am not crippled financially but all my plans and dreams "have had to change"
i just started working a few hours a week here in australia which is good. and i have cut my living expenses by moving back in with my mum until i can get back to southeast asia. i say s.e. asia now because it is possible that thailand will open up before myanmar, if myanmar stays on the same trajectory. so i might end up on the thai/myanmar border working in the peace-industrial complex in a year's time, which was my (and most) people's introduction to myanmar back before the army stepped back from politics. i remember ten years ago the first time i set foot in myawaddy on a 24hr VISA.
my girlfriend is out protesting every day with her mother's ph. number and blood type on her arm, and has been teargassed and in crowds that have been shot at. this last week has been the worst for deaths and arrests with machine guns, shotguns, stun grenades and more used by the regime, who wander wantonly destroying people's property each night and arresting people from homes.
re the forum the MABB is mostly community supported remember imran. speaking of which, thanks to DUSTO for taking care of the next few months' hosting fees :dustogreenie:

Yes the reason why I'm checking in is because of the bullets that are flying there.
Ok well we wish your plans all the best, keep us posted on grass roots information, especially your inclinations. I was going to offer donating but Dusty's already done that.
