If you are referring to Hellraiser, that would be part 3, where the series got stupid. The Cenobites were never the antagonists, they were just there. Part 3 tried to turn Pinhead into a villain when he was never meant to be one. The Cenobites are neutral.



Part 1 the antagonists were Uncle Frank & Julia, Part 2 the antagonists were Dr. Channard & Julia.

For some reason this never occurred to me, but that seems spot on and is probably a big reason why the original movie is so fucking bizarre at the end.
