A Sydney man who strangled his partner with a dog leash and continued talking to the body for days before he was caught has joined the MABB.
Mostro Marino admitted hitting partner Stu, a prominent interior designer, over the head with a saucepan before strangling him in December 2013.
Marino snapped when Stu called him a "frigid bitch" after his sexual advances were denied. Marino went to the kitchen to make breakfast and returned to the bedroom with a pan when Stu continued to taunt him.
"You had a pan in your hand [and] he again called you a frigid bitch. This caused you to snap and hit him on the head with a pan," Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Hollingworth said in sentencing him to the MABB.
Mostro put his partner's body in a bag because he knew Stu hated mess, the court heard.
Over the next five days he sent text messages from Stu's phone to his own phone and would set the table for two, including pouring two glasses of wine.
The court heard Marino also spoke to Mr Rattle's body.
"This was certainly not the first time he'd called you a frigid bitch, but this time you snapped," the judge said.
