Re: stormy's shoes and apparel haul thread
i lied in the previous post the vintage runners were already acquired them's the sneaks i bought in mayfair. should have all the rest by tues-weds
i only have one actual closet that i use for clothes. the right half is where i stash all my shoeboxes and hang my tees, the left has a weird dresser thing which stores my various undergarments, track pants, pajamas & linens. i've got two other garment racks, one which is ostensibly for my buttondowns, sweaters, coats and hoodies and the other is a two-tier where i mostly hang my pants
my rooms are a total disaster right now, clothes strewn about with almost no organization to speak of. still haven't fully unpacked/re-integrated my vacation clothes. sometime this summer after i handwash all the good stuff that i can't entrust to the laundromat, and then also organize it, i'll try and get some photos of the setups before it all goes to hell againjorsh wrote:stormy we need pics of your multiple closets that house all these “jawns”.

no one needs more than maybe 3 pairs of shoes.
of all the things to spend excess money on. who fucking gives a shit.
same goes for excessive clothes purchases. although at least people might notice your clothing. who the fuck notices what shoes someone is wearing

Re: stormy's shoes and apparel haul thread
i look at absolutely everyone's shoes. and anyway if you like to dress and have different outfits/styles etc. then having multiple footwear options is often going to follow. i have some beat-up lace up dress shoes in black, nike vapormaxes in black, solovair boots in black, and rick owens hightops in black, and while they are all black shoes they're all suited to completely different outfit compositions (all of which i enjoy wearing!)
it is of course fine to have one or two or three pairs of shoes and that's it. either because you're happy building a wardrobe suited to those options, or because you simply don't care all that much about clothes. those are perfectly fine and valid positions, ones which i myself held until the last 2-3 years!
anyway chelsea boots are classical, and while i'm not wild about the embossed logo on the heel they're otherwise a perfectly cromulent boot. the sole looks rubber though which i would not expect to see in ein luke's wardrobe

there are an infinite number of things i'd like to spend money on, but a lot of things other than fashion require a lot of time that i don't have or a lot of space that i don't have. eventually i'll put it on the back burner when i want to do something like upgrade my stereo setup or build a new PC or whatever but i don't really have much else that i especially want at the moment.

JAWN DUMP. shit photos, i need to skip my next clothing purchase and get a decent point & shoot camera and set up a proper space to take pictures of objects
these are the kicks i snagged in london at the rick owens boutique in mayfair. one attendant complemented my jacket, while luke's whole entire style earned high praise from the stylist. i've a long ways to go
black/oyster/bluejay sweater
astaire crops in bluejay, i actually got these before the trip and they served as the basis for one of my UK outfit templates
oyster hoodie, though the topstitch is actually closer to a basic tonal thread and not milk as advertised
my first major non-rick pickup in quite a while, the wave trousers in linen from blue blue japan. proceeded to immediately spill half a sample vial of cologne on them. and it was an EDP which is generally a high-concentration long-lasting formulation. the pants now smell like nomenclature's adr_ett which is a delightful summer scent
and since i finally got a big ass rack to corral them, my summer shoe rotation
RO drkshdw sock sneaks, story et fall 560, RO drkshdw hitops, solovair 1460s, RO x birkenstock arizonas
RO babel runners, ultraboost clear grey, kith ultraboost flamingos, ultraboost 3 triple white, nike vapormax laceless triple black
onitsuka tiger m66 slip-on, airmax '97 OG gold/silver/japan, ultraboost 2.0 customs
common projects achilles low, shoes like pottery low mustard, doc marten x collette 20th anniversary, adidas x raf simons replicants
new balance court classics, adidas supernova (running beaters), asics x collette yukatas, balenciaga triple S chinese knockoffs

they're just birkenstocks with some fancy detailing, they fit/feel like any other birks. if you're referring to the front strap it's not actually metal, that's just a reflective silver leatherarborist shrub tarkington wrote:these look tortuously uncomfortableHitoshura wrote:RO x birkenstock arizonas

Re: stormy's shoes and apparel haul thread
expanded my collection of perfumes, got a load of samples a few months ago and finally settled on a couple new additions. nomenclature's iri_del and tobali's iron wind just arrived today. would prefer some smellin' of troy but i takes what i can gets
besides that i also got black and amazingreen from comme des garcons last year, the former is my favorite fall/winter scent by far and it lasts for ages. nice combo with a lot of leather, very woody/spicy and develops for hours. i like amazingreen too, if it lasted more than an hour or two it'd be my go-to spring/summer selection but it fades so fast, it's a bit of a disappointment because of the lack of longevity.

Re: stormy's shoes and apparel haul thread
i was at work and had to cut my post short, settle down
but the answer is i have no clue, i am not at all knowledgeable on this subject outside of what i've got. when i was like 14 i wore CK one and some other CK thing and like uhh some nautica thing, and then i didn't wear anything at all for 22 years until i got that CDG black. so pretty much all i know is those two from CDG, the two i just bought, and a handful of other things from nomenclature & tobali that i bought samples of a few months back
but generally, i think if you enjoy those things and they cover a decent variety of seasons or scenarios then you are in good shape
