Clean and press 135: 5 x 3. Easy, but the 4th rep still escapes me barely. I think it's true that cleaning it first makes you stay tighter.
Deadlifted 335 again for 5 and 4 double overhand, but tried my new ironmind straps today just for fun.

Lifted a burger and chips to my mouth with some beer sips. About ten sets of twenty over the course of the night last night. Feelin' it.

Missed 5 days in a row due to school demands + shitty weather and unreliable transportation, but I went back in and got a 3x3 and 2x2 with 325 in the squarsh. Alternating 5x3 and 3x3 on deadlift days, so I missed 2 nose picks this time. NOT gonna back off, I am pushing through in triples for a while. Might throw in a slightly lighter 3x5 every now and then if something really hurts, but so far I have no calf/ligament pain.
No new all-time PR's except a 2x5 345lb deadlift last week, having switched to mixed grip again. Should beat my all time best 2x3 350 tomorrow. Will probably lower to the volume 2x3 in 2-3 sessions to keep pushing the weight, I might actually hit 4 plates in a few months, my current 1rm is supposedly over 380!
Sort of a PR: clean + push press 169lb 3x4. I've done 170 for 3x4 before, but not after having cleaned it.
Also in the oly lifts, got a 90kg clean max 2 weeks ago and today I snatched 53kg for the first time. But out of 8 attempts I only nailed one. The rest were close but I was out of steam so I should've called it a day when I nailed it on the 3rd or 4th try. I am now fast enough to duck under the bar fearlessly if I'm fresh, but I usually catch it 1 inch head of me which is enough to throw me off. Need to improve balance strength in the hole.
Haven't been practicing the jerk much at all. Just the right hand jerk, one million nose picks daily.

This week's highlights:
Back squarsh: Another 3x3 + 2x2 with 325lb. 1 session with 2x3 and 1x2 330lb, my personal best, soon to be improved upon. Kind of want to do sets of 5 again, which brings me to...
Deadlift: I made the stupid decision to experiment with one more squarsh set of 5 with 300lb one day and snatch pulls the next, so it has stagnated: 350lb 2x3 on one day, 2x2 about 4 days later, couldn't get the 2x5 I wanted. So I need to be careful with my lower back volume and wait a few more days before I attempt this again to fully recover.
Hang clean and jerk : worked up to 75kg for a double. Best form I've had to date according to the coach/monitor I have, my split jerk feels faster and more fluid. Hope to put up 100kg in the near future.
Front squats are at 115kg/250lb ish for 3x3, 3 times a week. I move up by 2.5-5kg every 3 consecutive sessions in which I get all nose picks.
Dropped the push press for the time being. Started Smolov Jr. to improve the overhead press, so I am pressing 3x a week with lots of volume for the next 4 weeks and I'll test my 1rm again to see if it has budged from 150lb.

After hitting 325lb 5x3 in the back squarsh Sunday, I pulled a YOLO today and got 335lb: 2, 2, 3. Lifetime PR! Best was a 335 single back in December. It didn't even feel too heavy after I did an extra warm up set of 315 for a single, I think that played a role. Followed up by a 1x5 with 305lb.

Passed on deadlifts today as my lower back still did not feel ready for 350 again. Settled for some 385lb power shrugs/clean pulls from the knee for 2x5.
Into the 3rd Smolov Jr. session for the press. 120lb 8x4 seemed like it would never end.

squarsh 360lb x 1 today prior to the oly lifts. Felt great and went up relatively easy.
Been doing straight linear 3x5 with the squarsh. 325lb last day, lifetime rep pr. Also completed my 8th Smolov overhead press session, 10 sets of 3 with 135lb took me about 50 minutes. 4 workouts from now it should be 140 10x3, let's see if it if it happens, my 1rm must have improved by now.

a few weeks ago i began an eight-week bet with a fellating lover, the purpose of which is to work out more regularly than the other. we are doing completely different exercises, so we are not competing in that regard. but we are both pecularly prideful scotch drinkers, and the winner gets a bottle of scotch from the loser, so the stakes are high

Also did some 200kg/440lb block/rack pulls from the knee last week for 2x5. Felt nice. I have not done anything for abs regularly in well over a month, gonna start forcing myself to do some weighted situps or something at the end of lifting as it's probably a good idea for injury prevention.

I will attempt this session one more time after I recover and test my 1rm a few days later. I'm really hoping for a +10lb increase (so 160).
Then I'll focus on just jerks and push presses for a while. I might start another smolov cycle in the summer, because they take way too much time (1 hour pressing sessions 4x a week, I literally do more nose picks and sets than squats with this).
Also started deadlifting again, might limit it to once a week for now because the soreness was unbearable.

Back squarsh involves more ass and posterior chain, it is done with heavier loads. Front squarsh requires more abs and quad strength.

Push-pressed 185lb for an easy single yesterday.
Oly lifts looking like this today:

So, I joined Planet Fitness last week and stepped into a gym for the first time in 12 years tonight. It was pretty intense. Got in a nice 15 minute cardio session to get the blood pumping and tried a bunch of machines to kind of pinpoint what needs to be worked on. My legs are stronger than I though . Good time, though. I spent about an hour in the place and hopefully I'll be able to get there at least 2-3 times a week.

Squatted 370lb for an easy single this week. I'm being very conservative with my maxes (no more than once every 3-4 weeks), I am keeping the volume high, but I think I am closing in on that 405 squarsh fast.
Also power-snatched 125lb and full-snatched a flawless 100lb for 4x2 after that, technique is visibly improving, just need to get used to dropping faster without losing balance so I can handle heavier weights.
Also got a 275lb front squarsh in the past 2 weeks and am currently doing 260 for 3x3.
Need to step my upper body game up. I am pushpressing 175 for 3x3 again from a rack, but I am considering starting to do more upper body volum as I really need more upper body strength. Filming myself I realized my jerk technique is shit so I'll drop it in favor of light technique work on top of the upper body volume. Started Smolov Jr. on the squats, the work load is starting to get insane. Back squatting 4x a week + assistance work. Plus 3 days where I just do the olympic lifts + more assistance. Will jump on a more structured thing after I finish Smolov in 3 weeks as squatting for 6-10 sets doesn't leave much energy for anything else.
Did some jerk walkouts and static holds for 15 seconds today with 205/my current bodyweight. Just a way of getting my weak shoulder girdle prepared for heavier things.
Also got sick again apparently from inhaling dust when my vacuum cleaner exploded but I am NOT going to take time off, fuck it, I'm not letting it interrupt things this time. I got through 7 sets of 5 squats with 280lb today by blowing my nose in between sets and drinking lots of water.

Shit was going to the side but I still made it. Those trx band things I've been using at the end of every workout have been helping my overhead strength and stability, I would've never been able to stabilize 135 just a few weeks ago.
