I did it the front squarsh with 130kg/286lb, should be good for 300lbs soon.

Did me 3x10 pushups with 15kg/33lb on my back.

Also have been doing one plank every day, currently doing 2 mins and it's still hard. I could use more of this ability.

Done 130kg four times already as part of squatting every single day in some form over the past 2 weeks. The first time, it was actually a true PR.

Monday/Thu I do back squats for nose picks, usually Thu is lighter or less volume. Every other day I ramp up to a 120kg front squarsh single as a bare minimum at home and occasionally push up to 130, then strip 10-15kg and do a few fast sets of 2-3 (only certain days). Now 130 is starting to feel less scary (I can warm up and hit 130 in under 10 minutes), so 135-140 is the next stepping stone.

My knees feel great with the increased frequency. I might even cut out the back squats if the front squarsh continues to improve on its own, as the beat me up less. Doing lots of glute ham raises too which are helping the knees stay healthy.

It is neat, it has a long fake grass thing to do sled/prowler stuff, yoke/carries etc. Tons of strongman equipment inside and outside (atlas stones).

Just hit a 136kg/300lbs front squarsh for the second time + 5x2 with 120kg, this former 1RM of mine feels quite easy now for volume.

Never been a serious detriment to my lifting even with my profuse sweating. Keeping my mane indefinitely, short of a freak accident or a brain tumor. Fuck jobs!

Been hitting volume personal bests for the last 3 weeks, latest were 3x8 back squats with 133kg/293lbs, and 3x5 paused back squats with the same weight. This is on top of hitting 130kg+ front squats every single day with some back offs. Some 3x8 PR's in behind-the-neck strict presses and sots presses. But my body is starting to feel like shit so it's time for a deload week.

my single day of lifting this week so far was:

a 130kg front squarsh single :redneck:::
3x8 slow eccentric back squats with 100kg, 1 min rest
3x8 front push presses with 50kg, 1 min rest
3x8 chinups 1 min rest
empty bar good mornings and sots presses

some wall squats the day prior

Might do some pushups and empty bar movements to stay mobile. Gonna be doing about 12 hours of driving over the next 2 days.

Already itching to hit it the heavy weights again, physically I feel recovered, but I definitely think I needed a psychological break from the gym.

Stupid amount of PR's in the last 3 weeks:

140kg/309lbs front squarsh
91kg/200lbs clean for 5x3
86kg behind the neck push press for 3x5
91kg/200lbs block jerks for 5x3
95kg clean &jerk for 6 singles every minute
82kg snatch for 6 singles every minute
70kg/155lbs snatch for 5x3 - this was formerly a 1RM less than 2 years ago
42.5kg snatch presses for 3x8
15kg kettlebell pullups for 3x8
and a bunch of end-of-workout high volume back squarsh PR's, which match my pre-workout squarsh PR's. So this implies that I got stronger, as I'm usually weaker at the end and wasn't able to hit my old numbers.

I like my new programming. Insane soreness but a deload is coming next week. Going to attempt bigger C&J numbers soon.

I did a sanctioned weightlifing meet over a year ago. Numbers were shit and they still are for my weight class tho, but I'm stronger. Didn't really enjoy the prep for a meet, just stressful and not as enjoyable as training for its own sake IMO.

Felt like ass for the last 4 days and had to miss a training day and cut another short because of extreme exhaustion from poor sleep, due to stress but I'm also just about reaching my limit. Good thing I have deload week now. I took a few attempts at 90kg snatch and came close but decided to call it there because I was getting dizzy.

started running again, in anticipation of a return to athens half marathon glory :thingy:

we live in an extremely hilly area, so this is way harder than it used to be :gaylol: i am down to about a 10:00 or 10:15 mile, quite embarrassing really

also running alongside busy streets is bullshit, i need to hit up the few trails around here more regularly. distance running on trails :xx:

today i did:

ramp up to a 135kg/300lbs front squarsh in the morning

in the evening:
6x2 cleans with 94kg//207lb
4x3 deficit clean pulls with 130kg/286lbs
6x2 front squats with 120kg/266lbs
3x5 55kg good mornings, I suck at these
3x5 45kg snatch press

and 40 pullups

very happy with my cleans, they are getting really easy finally

almost a grand total of 4 hours including all the warmups and a minor break, but that was well worth it. PR's across the board and massive confidence boost for bigger lifts for the coming weeks.

I've been getting back in to things, old injuries are holding up. Best lifts so far are 100kg x5 benchpress and 180kg deadlift. Squatting is poor, something like 120kg x5.

went for a run on the mile-long walking path on campus this morning, because i wanted to see how i did when not confronted with a hill every 600 feet

finished three laps in 25:34 :ba: 8:31 pace :gay: the falloff was not as steep as i had feared :xx:

now to mix hilly runs with flat ones :tucker:

Taking a light week because I was really burnt out last week. Still maintaining my squatting strength hitting a 300lbs/135kg front squarsh every day.

Yesterday I did me a:
72kg power snatch 5x1
91kg power clean and jerk 5x1
some snatch push presses

I have neglected pullups for 2 weeks, need to start doing them again more regularly.

4.37 miles in 39:36. 9:03 / mile, not super great for paved trails :oldryan: i was going to do a 5.12 mile route. but i forgot what i had mapped for the last little bit, so i thought i was just running really well despite pacing myself :eyes:

on a related note, if you find yourself in kennesaw and in need of a good jog or nice walk or a place for your children to play, i recommend swift-cantrell park on old highway 41. nice inner / outer loop combination and plenty of wide green spaces for skygazing :serenity:

8.01 miles this morning, in 72:15. a 9:01 pace, i feel good about that for such a distance

can't remember the last time i ran eight miles. i was nervous but it went quite well. the unseasonably low temperatures helped :serenity:

now for a victory breakfast :luke:
