The tapping is sick. Not just for the tapping but the sonic approach Trey was going for on this album. The passive tone while playing aggressively; it just did

something to the sound of the guitars. It's like Trey's head was in the orchestra as a composer than a mere guitar player. The hammering and pulling off of those high notes alternating between octave notes, man, to me it creates woodwind sounds! I always have visualized oboes, may be bassoons at that part. There is some sonority to that for me at least. It doesn't just sound like guitars.
