Morbid Angel - Covenant 20th anniversary US tour
World Management and Morbid Angel would like to announce the 20th Anniversary of Covenant--United States Tour 1993-2013. The tour is to be a celebration by the Masters of Chaos of their legendary biggest selling release, the album “Covenant".
In 1992, Morbid Angel was the first Extreme Death Metal band to be signed to a major label (Giant Records / Warner Brothers) and "Covenant" was to be their first release on that label in the USA. The album was released on June 22, 1993 and went on to garner great critical and commercial success. On tour, the band will play the “Covenant” album in it’s entirety and after a short intermission some additional surprise classic cuts. Further, there will be special commemorative items produced exclusively for this tour.
All advance Tickets will go on sale July 19, 2013.
In it's entirety so this time with Lions Den & Vengeance is mine

They'll probably do this with Domination next and I'll care equally as little.

If Pete and Richard or Erik were on stage I'd definitely go. But evil taint, disinterested Trey, Lurch and that metrosexual they have on drums?

I might go...depends on what the supporting bands are, and how many people want to go.

Re: Morbid Angel - Covenant 20th anniversary US tour
There's a chance I might go to this. I'm leaning toward "NO" right now, but I wonder if I'll regret not taking advantage of what could be a last opportunity to see Trey perform some of my favorite songs live. On the other hand, that's the only reason I can think of to even begin thinking of attending.

There was a fork in the road. One path was a sad mistake and the other was enriching and good.
Good job, sir.

i would imagine that most bands probably have unreported income. I could see that being tricky if you tour overseas and such though.

not claimed on taxes
although to be fair I could see a lot of bands not even making enough to owe anything.

merch sales are often cash only (although I have noticed some bands take credit cards now...)
some venues are cash only (ie no advanced tickets).

but, silly lummykins, i gather based on anecdotal evidence + statements like roddy's that there just isnt any extra money left, after you factor in the cost of travel and day-to-day expenses and all of that, whether you're in a cash business or not. i have no way of knowing for sure. but hearing that for example only guys like karl sanders and trey, in bands as popular as theirs, don't need to take full-time jobs in between tours, i have to assume that any unreported income is likely to be in the hundreds or even tens of dollars. not exactly new tax bracket-type stuff

True, it's not like anyone openly admits to buying IDI.

I think this was a check he received from the label for album sales.
