man I know it's a crappy cam mic but that guitar tone sounds like it is coming line out direct from the pre amp into the PA! :puke:

Its not just the tone the vocals also sounds noisey so I guess its just the cam Mic, or maybe the whole sound setup was fucked up :oldryan:

I don't think it's the quality of the recording cam. I strongly suspect the sound in the venue sucked that night.

Remember the story on the BATS dvd and from Uni777 where they lost their gear and had to buy new stuff for the Dynamo open air fest gig on 20-5-1991? This gig being only 2 days later might indicate that that new gear might be related to this sound outcome.

That story is not mentioned in the dvd.

And they did not loose their stuff it blew up at DOA because the transformers did not work properly. They had to relpace it after that. He said in an interview in a FanZine that he bought new amps in Holland.

So are you saying that, in addition to the equipment van crash, there was a separate incident where they lost gear on that tour?

I'm not sure it was that same tour. I just know that (some of) their backline blew on DOA because they wanted to use their own stuff instead of gear provided (220 instead of 110 volts and bad transformers).. and they had to replace it. I was there and saw it. It was also mentioned in one of the bigger Dutch magazines (Aardschok).

Also, Trey mentioned it in a fanzine i have somewhere where he goes into what gear he uses.

You are right that these events occurred on the 2 different legs of the tour. I checked it by the tourdates on my shirts:

European sickness Part 2: Crash in Sweden, beginning of the leg: Image
