MORBID ANGEL To Headline 2019 Decibel Magazine Tour

The 2019 Decibel Magazine Tour has officially announced its lineup and it's a crusher. The tour will take place in February and March, and will include Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Immolation, Necrot and Blood Incantation. "We're really looking forward to our second appearance on the Decibel Tour; they always put together a killer line up and this time is no exception," says CANNIBAL CORPSE bassist Alex Webster. "We're particularly excited to be hitting the road with our friends MORBID ANGEL. In fact, this will be the first time we've toured together in the USA."

"Everyone here in the MORBID ANGEL camp are stoked to do this tour with CANNIBAL CORPSE," says MORBID ANGEL's bassist/vocalist Steve Tucker. "To celebrate, MORBID ANGEL will be performing a mean-ass set of songs that will cover the entirety of our years of kicking ass." [presumably meaning everything that isn't Illud Divinum Insanus.] "We will be adding some of the older songs back to our set," assures MORBID ANGEL founder Trey Azagthoth. "See you all there."

Please note that Cannibal Corpse will be on the tour from the start up to March 7, where they'll be replaced by Immolation for the remainder of the trek. Morbid Angel, Necrot and Blood Incantation will participate in the whole tour.

I think someone in the band must have done something abroad that is making it difficult to travel because both times they tried to travel it came down to visa issues. Notice they haven’t hit Canada or Mexico on their last two North American tours either.

simpler explanation is that they are getting older and probably don't care to travel as much

visa crap could probably be a factor too, which one of them had issues before?

Same here since I'd much rather see Immolation. The crowd will probably be bigger with CC on the bill which sometimes makes for a better atmosphere, but I wonder about how many over the top obnoxious people they'll attract. I'll probably wait until MA's set list is revealed to decide.

trey really ate shit on some rhythm parts throughout the set lots of god of emptiness is off time

like after 49:15 he stays out of sync - at 49:34 he doesn't even play anything remotely close to correct, the lead part sounds like it's straight out guitar hero video game what the fuck

Seems like a mix of drunkenness, something else very strong kicking in after the 20 minute mark and trouble hearing the rest of the band. He sounds a second behind in places and then just gives up in parts.

Or he's lost his fucking marbles.

It actually sounds like someone who knows how to play some guitar but hasn't invested much time into getting very good at it. Like a very drunk kid just messing around. Fucking bizarre.

I just watched "God..." again. Wow, that was painful. With Trey rarely playing a right note or rhythm, I don't see how the rest of the band could keep it together. Trey's train wrecks must have been so hard to ignore.
