F-B-C in that order.

Formulas is just too good. way too many awesome solos and it is just so solid.

Blessed is the best of the "classic" era MA in my opinion. Those three songs just listed above are some of my favorite MA tracks.

Covenant takes third because I just love the the power trio combination of Trey, Pete, and Dave. Another album filled with epic solos. This is my second favorite album if I ranked them by Trey's solo performances, with Formulas still reigning supreme.

FFF is one of the best albums of all time in any genre! :bang: :xx:

just download the fuckers and then go buy them when you have the chance, atleast you would've heard them.

I mean.... you just cannot miss out on all the win that is Formulas! Or gateways, or heretic, or any other MA album.

These days...hmm...I gotta say, I'm starting to like B more and more than A. Yeah, A and F has most of my favorite MA tunes but as far as entire album arrangements and album concepts are concerned...and the way the songs are tracked in sequence, I think I've seen the light and I gotta give credit to B to being my favorite MA album.

I need to retract my vote. :waa:

I can play bass for you. I will just tune a bass guitar down real far then just smack it with my palm to the beat pretending to have my own variation or, "style," of slap bass and all of the little outcast-clique kids will love me. You'll feel right at home.
I really like Heretic. It's very magical and extreme in the same time. Cool drum beats and guitar parts. Very exotic production too. It's not some modern-clean-boring sound production,it's very catchy.Nasty, but tasty.

I vote for H
:oldzeldawiniconthingy: This is correct.

I voted F as I used to listen to that album with headphones going to sleep reading the lyrics and having a think like a good little fanboy.

Am I the only person who doesn't really rate A as one of the best?

It is quite a bit more involved than the Lovecraftian/Simonomicon pseudo-Akkadian in Lord of All Fevers and Plagues.

I don't think lyrics are the problem, David's been performing since the 80's I think he'd be a pro at learning lyrics.

Yes, but he had had something like 3-4 years time to learn IE Summoning Redemption or other songs from Gateways and all he have pulled so far is one 2,5 minute song. :tear:

Yea, I know, that's two albums and the poll asked for three.

i was sick of seeing johnny's post being the last for so long, so i came up with a new top three.

covenant (because of rapture)

gateways (because of summoning redemption)

blessed (because of fall from grace)
