I agree, it does sound very Where the slime live-ish.

Probably on purpose. Now I have to go listen to the original and un-confuse myself.
Need a new signature? Why not Zoidberg? (V) (;,,;) (V)

Where the slime live, maybe
There´s also some similarities between Breeding Death and Immortal Rites, I think.

I can feel the similar groovines but not similarity in the riff (as being copied).

This Bloodbath album is really good. In a way that song sounds probably closer in sound to Nothing is not. But then that in itself is a another take on Where the slime live
That Mithras Forever advancing legions album is just incredibly good, I think it's their best.

I must say, I like all Bloodbath albums. Older stuff got a lot of Dan Swano/ Edge of Sanity riffs.
And Peter Tagtren does a better vocal delivery on Nightmares made flesh then in Hypocrisy imo.

Robotech! Listen around 1.00min mark.

The theme is called "The 15th Squadron". It changes around the 1.00 mark. The part used during the solo in "Where The Slime Live" starts around 1.08.
