MORBID ANGEL Drummer PETE SANDOVAL Back Behind The Kit

Longtime MORBID ANGEL drummer Pedro "Pete" Sandoval last year underwent back surgery for a deteriorating disc problem and is currently in rehabilitation and doing well.



Video footage of Sandoval behind the kit doing what he does best — filmed on December 19, 2010 — can be viewed below.



According to MORBID ANGEL, the type of injury suffered by Sandoval, subsequent surgery and rehab cannot be rushed and it will take ample time for Pete to be back behind his drums again and out on tour with the rest of the band.



MORBID ANGEL recently completed work on its ninth album at Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida with engineer Erik Rutan (former MORBID ANGEL guitarist and producer for such bands as CANNIBAL CORPSE and GOATWHORE). Due in early 2011 via Season Of Mist, the new CD was tracked with the help of drummer Tim Yeung, who has previously played with DIVINE HERESY, ALL THAT REMAINS, NILE, HATE ETERNAL and VITAL REMAINS).
