I was a douchebag at a Cradle of Filth show once. Paul tossed his pick out and it landed in the hair of the skinny emo kid standing in front of me. I grabbed it out of his hair and put it in my pocket. His fellating lover told him, they both turned around to say something to me and I said, "Th'fuck are you going to do about it?" all confrontational. They stood there for a second then turned back around. :redneck: :grimb:

At Fortarock I saw 4 guys clinging and circling on The flag of hate Mille had thrown in the crowd. At first I thought it was a new way of building a moshpit, but then I realized how pathetic they were.

Mine came without the pic... :frown: Heard too late Earache provided them in the case it was not included.

I have one i got personally though. And i have some grey nylon dunlops he used during the altars days. Which he gave me.

Mine was played by him the day he gave it which means more to me anyways.

I agree w Void...my Love of Lava pick is light pink with black print, and the one I got from Trey looks like the one in the original post...purple with green print.

The Rutan picks I got were always the red Dunlop Jazz IIIs. I didn't like the red ones because of the texture (that's why I like the black ones). Rutan once told me he would buy the red picks and leave them on his dashboard...says the sun beating down on them did something or other to the texture that made them more comfortable. Not sure if he still uses them, this was back in 1999 or so.

I use those red Jazz III XL as well. The material is different from the black ones. Red = nylon, black are Stiffo. There is a big difference in sound.

I use the Red Jazz III too, tried to go back and use regular picks for fun but it's impossible now. I scrape the top of my index finger on the strings though (ouch) need to work on technique.

Well he was still using them on the last tours Erik done with MA, cause I has one. Strange though it seems smaller than the Jazz's I have bought.

Maybe he uses the original small ones now? The XL series are the largest from the Jazz III series but there are a lot of differnt shapes and textures in it.

What is the purpose of different shapes and structures?

I understand thin picks for fast picking...

I use a .60 mm. I find it hard to tremolo-pick with thicker picks.

Each different tip of the diverse picks have a different roll-off of the string. Which feels different as well as sounding different. Straight edges compared to bevelled edges. Sand grip, smooth or textured for better grip. And tons of differnt materials which all sound different.

Yep, and definately NO thin picks for fast strumming. I hate thin picks, also for acoustics.
