Extreme metal band, Morbid Angel guitarist Trey Azagthoth is a Rocktron endorser. He uses the Rocktron Patchmate Loop 8, the All Access controller and the Rocktron HEX expression/volume pedal.

What sort of things would this sort of equipment be used for? In which songs?

uni: Trey used a different board back then. He has an endorsement with GHS strings, which has the same owner of Rocktron.

the all access is kinda midi board for switching your effect channels or chains and the hex is an expression pedal for volume
as far as i remember trey uses a black midi board with pink letters on it ( forgot the brand) since domination and before this he had a rockman or something
and for expr. pedals he only got a morley bad horsie wah
maybe he uses this rocktron stuff at home or something ...

Trey used the board that came with his old ART FX-unit for a very long time.
His use of Rocktron gear is recent. Great stuff. Wish i had the cash to buy it.

Hehehehehe. The Rocktron is not that light either. Plus, it still needs a case for shipping.
But you are right my pedalboard weights a ton...
