Re: ILLUD TRACKLIST
I do like "Mea Culpa", it means they're sorry for naming the songs like this.
What a bunch of crap... "Too Extreme!" ??? A fucking 15 year old kid calls his song this.
I truly hope they make up for it music-wise.
Thinking about it... it just not suits a band that have been professionally making music for so many years, creating the genre, to make up this kind of titles.
Most of them look like they're still the working titles, and it rather seems almost arrogant as if they're saying "fuck the atmosphere of the album, the story that the album is telling, the fans" even... I could be totally wrong here and it might just be that the song titles are perfectly fit to the music - but I just can't see any creativity or thought behind such titles. Especially if you compare it with ALL their other albums.

looks like MA is trying something way different, and Trey is following his statement "A child's thinking is better than an adult because he dont know the limitations ".
the music will not dissatisfy, as the sound remains same thoughout a morbid angel album and nevermore is pretty badass we all know so do other will be.
- just my small interpretation, lets hope for good

I had high expectations for every MA album and all the albums were disappointing at first, but after several listens I loved them (except of Domination). This time I'm disappointed with everything - the artwork, titles and this "I'm so evil, I have candles and incense" box set.

Re: ILLUD TRACKLIST
The stupid songtitles must be those techno tracks.
I'm not going to buy any special edition before I've heard the album, although I still have faith that the metaltracks are going to be great!

I'm still hopeful that the music will be 8 years worth of good. The question will be if it's good enough to compensate for the other so-far disappointing factors.

Actually this album is going to rule. Do you know why? Because of the bass. This album will sound like covenant but with clearer guitars.

no - you know how you can tell it will rule and be better than covenant? because it OUT HOT TOPICS COVENANT and then hate fucks it into a house music trance
uhh...turning back the clock anyone?
the worst thing about covenant by far is the hokey as shit album cover. the best thing about illud divinum whatever-the-fuck is the deluxe album packaging, because it's the actual tangible items that make covenant so hokey by association. it's TOO STUPID. you can actually burn incense in a blasphegram and set up your own little morbid altar, complete with candles? SIGN ME UP for this masterpiece

I agree that that live recording is great, but how in the world could you compare it to something you haven't heard yet? Let alone be it a studio recording that's different from any live versions out there.

studio recording is not going to change the riffs, nevermore is a great track. I just dont like the vocal line, just my opinion.
else those are riffs are quite better than heretic tracks, the sound still is MORBID ANGEL

Re: ILLUD TRACKLIST
After waiting this long even these songtitles don't bother me. I've been a fan for so long now and I am confident they'll pull it off. It's MA and Nevermore is what is kinda keeping me interested. The album covers are retty MA like; the band deserves a chance at least. Can't judge the album on pics and song titles. Although the song titles sound very mundane and not even Domination like..

Re: ILLUD TRACKLIST
What is peoples problem?
Morbid Angel breaking away from boundaries is nothing new. I do think that the titles are charming in their own way. No other Death metal band would pull off titles like this. And my advice to you people is to actually wait until the album arrives and read the lyrics. David Vincent is one of the greatest lyricists ever. I think this album will show us who the real Morbid Angel fans are. It's a comeback album and it's diffrent. The ones supportive will continue to support and not condemn the shit out of the album before it's even release.
