summer slaughter recap.
Summer Slaughter Tour - Jacksonville, FL
Blackguard - first band and one of the best imo. great folk metal!
After the Burial - wiggers playing metal. every song was one huge breakdown.
Beneath The Massacre - pretty good, but not my cup o' tea.
Origin - fucking awesome!
Born Of Osiris - meh. why are these guys so popular?
Dying Fetus - fucking awesome! the scene kids got annihilated in the pit.
Winds Of Plague - meh? meh. again, why are these guys so popular?
Darkest Hour - fucking meh to the max. why are these guys so popular?
Suffocation - half the crowd left before suffo came out, but it still ruled. played a lot of old stuff as well as quite a few from the new cd.
Necrophagist - actually my first time seeing them and it was amazing. played a couple of a new songs that sounded awesome as well.
I have been up since 4am yesterday (approaching the 24 hour mark). I left straight from work (6am-12) and got to Jacksonville around 2:45pm. seeing as how I just got home, well, it's been a long day, but one that was well worth it.

Re: summer slaughter recap.
I'm considering going to this 'cause I love Dying Fetus. Necrophagist is pretty bad-ass, too, especially live. but there's just so much shit i'm not interested in sitting through. I don't smoke anymore, so I can't just kick it in the smoking section. I'd acually have to sit through every one of those bands. ah man fuck that. I've seen DF 4 times now anyway, I guess it wouldn't matter if I sat another one of their shows out.

Re: summer slaughter recap.
I went the other day but haven't posted yet so I'll do it here.
Blackguard - I'm not into this stuff but they seemed cool / sexy leopard elevator drummer? awesome!
After the Burial - their singer was "sick" and sat out at our show so i enjoyed them a little more
Beneath Massacre - l love these guys, full of energy, great sound
Origin - violent mosh-pit , amazing performance, even talked to their vocalist outside. t
Born Of Osiris - gay as shit, the singer and keyboard player looked like they wanted to kiss the whole time
Dying Fetus - ..I was outside during the last bit of born of Osiris and thought Winds of Plague were playing next.. So I missed all of Dying Fetus except the last song
Winds Of Plague - if they keyboard player would have taken off her shirt it would have been more entertaining
Darkest Hour - fucking meh to the max. why are these guys so popular? i was day dreaming during their set
Suffocation - sick show, big circle pits, great sound
Necrophagist - second time seeing them, they played way louder and after 11 bands the crowd had lost their energy. they played good but it was really to loud, couldn't understand much of the new song.

Re: summer slaughter recap.
I ended up going to this thing after all. I was only interested in Dying Fetus. They never dissappoint.
Suffocation and Necrophagist were cool, but I was too sleepy by then to enjoy it to the fullest.
I did not appreciate Ensiferum playing with their lonjas hanging out. Also, the dude called us Atlanta, even though we were Anaheim.
