I always cannot got into them
I also saw them live in 2006, but they played before Venom, so the crowd was like sleeping before them

I don't know why but I read that as "my anus, your horse."
as far as Opeth goes....I actually haven't listened to them in a while. but whenever I do it's always one of the pre-blackwater park albums. I cabby arsed with their new shit. if when it's heavy it still fails because it seems like they've lost all feeling/soul/emotion with the newer stuff.

That's a great song, Ryan. In fact, this album and Morningrise are the only Opeth albums I enjoy. Everything else this band has done bores me to tears.

i just never caught on to them. first heard 'em back about ten years ago :| didn't get into it then, saw them live a couple times, kept following for a while and it's just never really done anything for me.

Re: my arms, your hearse
My one major problem with them is that for all tracks theyve written with just light parts and no heavy bits, theyve got very few (none?) straight up heavy no bullshit tracks.

heir apparent, wreath, and the grand conjuration are prob as close as they'll get to straight heavy no bullshit tracks. even though ha and wreath both have lighter bits, 95% of those two are heavy as fuck
