I picked up a few enjoyable thingies on RSD. Only two were RSD releases, though.

David Bowie - No Plan (12" EP, etched side b, clear & blue marbled)
Alice In Chains - 93/99 (2x7", What The Hell Have I b/w A Little Bitter, and Get Born Again b/w Died)

In the used bins, I found:

Aesop Rock - Labor Days (2LP 180gr)
Mudhoney - You Got It (Keep It Outta My Face) b/w Burn It Clean (7", first pressing; can't go wrong for $2)
Black September / Thou - Thrive And Decay (split 7")

Then I grabbed lunch and drove an hour to play a pretty rowdy gig. I'd say it was a productive RSD this year. :fonz:

There were a couple other Mudhoney 7" up there -- I may go back and snag them. They're all the old Sub Pop 1989 pressings. And some great tunes.

I thought you got this when it came out?

the two mega-long tracks are super duper great. big city music and oban :xx::::::::::: very different for them, sort of trance-y in their construction

and the middle track which I forget the name of is a very quiet very pretty song as well

jaga :thingy:

compact disc haul:

mogwai young team
mogwai - happy songs for happy people
judas priest - painkiller

unfortunately, i wasn't paying attention when i ordered painkiller because i got a remastered version from the early 2000s and it sounds like utter dogshit. i'm baffled as to why they thought it even needed a remaster to begin with

CD1: Earth Rocker
Adds two brand new tracks that were recorded during the original album session with Machine. The songs Night Hag and Scavengers now make this a 13-song CD.

CD2: Earth Rocker Live
Gives all those fans who have been clamoring for the CD version of the live material previously only avialable on the double vinyl picutre disc what they want.

DVD: Live In Denver
This was recorded 11/14/13 at the sold out Ogden Theatre. Seven cameras recorded the event in 1080i and captured every live aspect of Clutch at this show that brought the house down. Two videos - Gone Cold, (previously unreleased), and Crucial Velocity are added as bonus material. (Both videos were produced, filmed and directed by Aisha Tyler.)

Reznor released a statement on his Definitive Edition vinyl reissues (of which I ordered Broken, the only classic NIN album I do not have on wax). It was an apology about the delay, some explanations about perfectionism, a notice that he changed fulfillment companies, and a code for 20% off a future order. That satisfies my frustration, but I get to wait until August for my record now. hrmph.

Quake soundtrack is getting a vinyl release soon.

carpenter brut - live

i had very low expectations for this as i wasn't sure how well this kind of material would translate to a live setting. it's fucking superb though and if you dig CB or the french synthwave scene generally it's 100% worth the buy

also finally bought a formulas shirt at the show in nola, and also a weird swans one i hadn't seen before at a metal shop i discovered in the french quarter
