MARDUK: North American Tour Announced - Aug. 26, 2009



Following three very special U.S. appearances earlier this month in Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York (effectively breaking their streak of visa issues), Swedish black metal battalion MARDUK will return for a full North American headlining tour this November. The band will be joined by NACHTMYSTIUM, MANTIC RITUAL, MERRIMACK and BLACK ANVIL (on select dates).



Dubbed U.S. Plague Tour 2009, the trek will kick off on November 20 at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts and run through 21 more dates before coming to a close in New York City on December 16 at the Gramercy Theater, where the band recently played to an overwhelming crowd response.

MARDUK's eleventh album, "Wormwood", will be released in the U.S. on October 13 via Regain Records. The CD, which will be made available in Europe on September 24, was recorded at Endarker Studios in Norrköping, Sweden with engineer/producer Magnus Devo Andersson. The album's release will be followed by a world tour, dubbed "Funeral Nation 2009/2010", which will kick off in Europe.

And so it's official. I can't believe Rick and Heather fucking pulled it off. MARDUK AT THE FUCKING MUG! This is big news. The fact that they're playing at a place that I fucking call my second home makes me feel special being a part of The Brass Mug.

Not as much as he used to since him and his girlfriend moved. But they still go there. I've met a whole lot of florida death metalers there. I've hung out with Corpsegrinder there, as well as met everyone else from CC except for Paul. I have met Erik Rutan, Trey himself, Steve Ashiem 3 times now (for fuck sakes he remembers me from the first time I saw him with Order of Ennead). Otherwise, I'm pretty much hanging with all the death metal musicians there, or the regulars for that matter, and whatever fellating lover I came with even on dead nights. I had a whole lot of good memories and drunken times there this past whole year.
