i've said it before, that black metal is the only genre that continues to evolve while others have stagnated.



I think there is a lot of hope for black metal's future.
That is stupid. Black Metal has Dimmu Borgir. That speaks for the genre's "stagnation" enough.
dso, ban, ofermod, ondskapt, mortuus, funeral mist, ruins of beverast...just off the top of my head.

Promising death metal band you ask? PORTAL. The music sounds almost as evil and horrific as Mortal Throne of Nazarene, as does their related project, IMPETUOUS RITUAL. Horrendously technical as well:
