Re: hey dusty
the arctic monkeys are an english rock and roll band from england
they play rock and roll music
their first two albums are full of volume and guitars
their third album was produced by joshua m homme of the band queens of the stone age, and thus sounds like an english desert sessions project
their fourth album sounds like bubblegum rock from the early 60s
and their fifth and most recent album sounds like dance rock from the 10s; villains is like an american it
i started listening to them several years ago, thanks to a single track on a mix cd a fellating lover made me
when commuting to and from my terrible teaching job in ohio i often listened to the albums favourite worst nightmare and humbug over and over and over, because they were in the car and i never remembered to bring anything else down to the car. as a result i cannot think about those albums without thinking of both a hot athens summer and the snow-encrusted nothingscape of the ohio valley in february
i have not listened to them much since those days, but for about a year they were far and away my most listened-to band. i recommend the arctic monkeys

Re: hey dusty
here is a song from their fourth album, which i find less successful and interesting than the others but which nonetheless has a number of catchy-ass tunes and a few good moody ones

Re: hey dusty
i will add that their lyrics are often reminiscent of hip-hop in a sense, heavy on intricacy and unexpected rhymes and jam-packed with extra syllables
