rank the albums?
id go:
axe to fall
jane doe
all you love you leave behind
the dusk in us
you fail me
no heroes
petitioning the empty sky
when forever comes crashing
halo in a haystack

i've been trying to think about this over the last week or so actually, but i've been hellaciously busy
i think i'd probably go something like
jane doe
forever
dusk
axe/all/fail/heroes
forever
halo
the middle cluster is probably unfairly stratified, they're all top-tier albums and the only reason they seem middling is because they're being stacked up against jane doe. WFCC gets a rating bump strictly due to nostalgia/me being there before anyone outside of new england gave a fuck about converge.
i have other thoughts on this subject but i'm exhausted, wasted and despondent
they will come some other time

my main thought is that the last entry in the middle cluster was supposed to be petitioning but i was too drunk to realize i forgot to include it
i think that ranking holds up though, the only release that i'd consider non-essential is halo in a haystack. the rest is all incredible and i don't think the ordering much matters other than jane doe being the clear best. poacher diaries is part of the good pack too, my great devastator is
::::::::::::::::::::
converge are a very rare band that really have no real missteps in a lengthy career
