Favourite Lombardo drumming on a Slayer record

Postby Ninny » 21 Nov 2017, 05:03

I wondered after listening to Hell awaits... a mad foreskin fungus like creative Lombardo here  But for me I think it's South of heaven :grim:

probably reign in blood, such a sprightly punk vibe :serenity: and the filliest fills of all

hell awaits would be next after that

oddly enough lombardo is the only lackluster part of decade of aggression, he is sluggish and behind the count in many spots and completely fucks up both the break in war ensemble and the double bass fill in angel of death

highly unusual :bulb:

Reign in Blood for me, followed closely by Seasons. I'll have to pay close attention to his work on Hell Awaits next time I listen to it, because I hadn't ever noticed anything about it beyond being unmistakably solid.

The South of Heaven album.

Especially the song "Live Undead" his patterns on that song are incredible
